Orientation and welcome meeting GSSS - 3 September 2010

To welcome and inform new international and Dutch students the Graduate School of Social Sciences will organise orientation meetings.

European parliamentarian Daniel Cohn-Bendit to speak at Academic Year Opening

The official Opening of the 2010-2011 Academic Year of the University of Amsterdam (UvA) will be held on Monday, 6 September. Taking ‘Europe' as its central theme, Daniel Cohn-Bendit, chairman of the European Parliament's Green Party, will feature as the keynote speaker.

Dr M. de Goede

Dr M. de Goede has been apppointed Professor of Political Science, with an emphasis on the External Affairs of Europe, at the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences of the University of Amsterdam (UvA).

Prof. A. Mol

Prof. A. Mol has been appointed Professor of Anthropology of the Body at the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences of the University of Amsterdam (UvA).
